HMCS Haida served in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1943 to 1963, participating in World War II (Bay of Biscay and English Channel), the Korean War (inshore patrol, bombarding coast and enemy's transpaortation), and Cold War. During the WWII, sank more enemy surface tonnage than any other Canadian warship and as such is commonly referred to as the "Fightingest Ship in the Royal Canadian Navy". In February 2018, Haida was designated the ceremonial flagship of the Canadian Navy.
